Our Facebook competion which we ran in January was a huge success, we had many new people liking our page! The lucky winner was picked at random and was FRAN BRIDGEWATER, Fran is now the lucky owner of an Award winning Charlotte Beach Bag.

Moving with the times The Old Bag Company are flying into the 21st century with their new video “Come Fly With Us” This Old Bag production was made in association with The Media Department at Kingsbridge Community College with special thanks to Andy Wheeler who patiently produced and directed it ! We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it.
THE NEW SUMMER RANGE IS ON ITS WAY!!

We have recently returned from 2 trade shows where we launched our new summer collection. The response and feedback were amazing and orders from our retailers exceeded all of our expectations. With so many bag companies out there we strive not only to offer a well made product (quality) at an affordable price (value) but we want to give our company personality. If you want to know how it all started then please read on.
The Old Bag Story.
In August 2005 I, Sally, was sitting on our local beach in Devon with my 5 children surrounded by carrier bags. I thought we need a practical, strong fun beach bag so I went home and designed one!
There are so many bag companies I wanted to be different so when Nick, my husband, came up with the name The Old Bag Company I thought it was perfect and I became the number one Old Bag! I decided to involve my 5 children so the ranges are named after them, except my son Will who is waiting for me to launch a male bag! Each bag has a label inside with a message from them giving the product personality. They also model all the bags.
And thats how it all started. Since the first range of beach bags I have gone on to design a range of everyday bags, handbags,leather handbags,babychanging bags and accessories to include hand made purses, beach towels and mugs. All the bags are made of canvas, light weight, waterproof inside and machine washable. They have lots of pockets inside and out (designed by a woman, me, for a woman, you) making them very organised practical Old Bags.
I donate a percenage of the sales of the Ellie Junior bags to a local charity, Families for Children, an Adoption Agency and Charity Turst who place children from all over the country with families in Devon and Cornwall. I chose this charity as The Old Bag Company is a family business and I am adopted. Inside each Ellie Junior bag is a label thanking you for buying this bag and helping the charity.
Loved by the media - The Old Bag Company has been featured in numerous national and regional magazines and newspapers and also featured on ITV Westcounty, BBC Spotlight, Radio 4 and the Old Bags have been in The Big Brother House. The Company has won numerous awards over the 5 years of trading, raising the brand awareness and helping to put it firmly in the accessory market place.

We are proud to announce The Old Bag Company has chosen a charity to support.
FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN is a registered and approved voluntary adoption agency and charitable trust and operates across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset.(Patrons are Chef Michael Caines and Radio Presenter Judy Spiers) Their main focus is to find parents for children all over the country needing new adoptive families. Our mum (Sally) felt this was the perfect charity as she herself is adopted and the emphasis on The Old Bag Company is her 5 children.
Every Ellie Bag and Ellie Junior Bagsold we donate a percentage to the charity. Inside every Ellie bag is a label saying "by buying this bag you have donated a percentage to Families for Children, thank you".

BIG BROTHER had the Charlotte Bags in the House for their Beach Task, very exciting. The production company then invited Charlotte and Emma to an Eviction Night. They were so thrilled and were even on TV as they were standing behind Davina McCall. They now think The Old Bag Company is VERY COOL!.
